Tiny 1/8" magenta buds form in clusters, five petals will partially open to form a bell.
Habit:
Creeping Snowberry is a deciduous shrub. The woody stem grows and ranches, reaching a height of eighteen inches. The oval leaves, about one inch diameter, grow pinnately, pairs in opposition, on white stems. Each leaf shows its vein and ribs, and has faint hairs.
Snowberries produce white fruit, hence the common name. These may be enjoyed by wildlife, but are said to be toxic for humans.
Observations:
I've only seen this in the woodland understory, but it is said to enjoy full sunlight.
